Super Visa

With the parent and grandparent Super Visa, eligible applicants can visit Canada and stay for longer periods of time than with a regular Visitor Visa. Parents and grandparents can now stay for up to five (5) years at a time, with multiple entries for a period up to ten (10) years.

Eligibility and Requirements:

• Be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident

• Have a signed letter of invitation from your child or grandchild that includes the following:

  • A promise of financial support for the length of your visit

  • A list with the number of people in the household

  • A copy of their Canadian citizenship or permanent resident document

• Have private medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company that:

  • Paid in full or in installments with a deposit

  • Valid for at least one (1) year from the entry date to Canada

  • Cover your healthcare, hospitalization and repatriation

  • Have coverage of at least $100,000 CAD
